TRIBUTES are being paid to a Dublin Man who lost his life in a fall from an electric scooter in Lisburn, Co Antrim this week.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said that the deceased who has been named locally as Dylan ‘Bobby’ Sharkey’, 44, had fallen from an electric scooter in the Ravernet Road area of Lisburn.
The shocking incident occurred at around 6.45pm last Saturday, August 9, and the person was taken to the hospital by emergency services.
He passed away from his injuries on Tuesday evening, August 11.
Mr Sharkey was originally from Raheny in Dublin but had lived in Lisburn in County Antrim for a number of years.
He worked as an engineer for Fibrus in Belfast.

Condolences poured in and one local said he was a great guy.
They added: “I’m so sorry to hear about Dylan, it’s so heartbreaking, the good go too young.
“My sincere condolences to his family and friends.”
Another friend said: “He was such a top fella, always with a smile and warm embrace when we’d meet.
“We’ve been fortunate over the past few weeks to have got to spend time in his company on a few occasions, full of chat as always and the usual kindness you’d associate with Bob.
“He is going to leave a massive hole in so many lives but also a wonderful legacy with myself and everyone who was lucky enough to really know him. RIP pal.”
Mr Sharkey is survived by his mother Meadbh and his sister Tara and extended family.
And he is sadly missed by his niece and goddaughter Riona, his aunty Deirdre, uncles Desmond and William, partner Stephanie and his wide circle of friends and relations.
FUNERAL DETAILS
His remains will repose in Jennings Funeral Home, Springdale Road, on Thursday, August 21, from 4.00-6.00pm.
Removal on Friday to Our Lady Mother of Divine Grace Church, Raheny for 10am Funeral Mass followed by Burial in St Fintan’s Cemetery.
In a statement Roads Policing Inspector Cherith Adair, from the Police Service Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Sadly, he has passed away in hospital from these injuries.
“Our officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision, and would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam or other footage which could assist with our enquiries.”
