“NEVER complain, never explain,” was the Queen’s lifelong mantra.
But Her Majesty would certainly have made her disapproval known had she lived to see this latest statue unveiled in her honour.

Artist Anto Brennan’s bronze figure has been placed next to a statue of Prince Philip at Antrim Castle Gardens in Northern Ireland to mark two years since the Queen’s death.
But critics on social media have slammed everything about it, from the shape of the monarch’s face to the awkward posture and her wellies.
One onlooker said the sculpture resembles Mrs Doubtfire, Robin Williams’s cross-dressing nanny from the 1993 hit film.
The backlash began within hours of the statue’s unveiling on Friday.
Some detractors branded it offensive, while others demanded the figure be removed.
“Take it away,” fumed one onlooker.
“It’s actually an insult to her memory, looks nothing like her,” stormed another.
“Whoever signed that off needs their eyes tested.”
Antrim and Newtownabbey borough council, which commissioned local artist Anto, defended the statue, saying it “captured Her Majesty in a dignified pose”.
Here we share other statues that look nothing like the star they are meant to be.
